The Nigeria Marketing Research Association (NiMRA) today officially opened the highly anticipated NiMRA International Conference 2025, bringing together leading voices in market research, data science, policy, and business innovation from across Nigeria and beyond.
Held at the prestigious venue in Lagos, the four-day event, themed “Beyond the Horizon: AI and New Frontiers in Market Research,” is set to explore the transformative role of artificial intelligence in shaping the future of consumer understanding, brand strategy, and social research.
The conference opens with the exclusive Client Summit on June 17, an invite-only gathering designed to strengthen partnerships between research providers and clients, and foster meaningful conversations around the evolving expectations of business leaders and decision-makers.
Beginning Wednesday, June 18, the event enters its public phase with the Social & Policy Research Summit, followed by the core International Conference sessions on June 19 and 20, culminating in the Annual General Meeting and Gala Night where industry achievements will be recognized and celebrated.
“We are entering a critical decade for African research,” said NiMRA President, Dr. Yemi Kale. “This year’s conference is about preparing the next generation of researchers, marketers, and innovators to lead with both intelligence and integrity — and to embrace the unprecedented opportunities AI brings to our industry.”
Across its multiple tracks, the conference will feature keynote addresses, expert panels, masterclasses, and networking opportunities — all designed to examine the intersections of AI, human creativity, data privacy, ethical research, and commercial impact.
Attendees include senior executives from leading market research agencies, marketing professionals, public sector leaders, data scientists, students, and members of the media. With more than 500 participants expected, the 2025 edition marks NiMRA’s most ambitious conference to date.
NiMRA, the umbrella body for Nigeria’s marketing and social research industry, represents over 80 agencies and 300 individual professionals. This year’s conference underscores the association’s continued commitment to advancing data integrity, research excellence, and innovation across the African continent.
